Tin embossing – The House That Lars Built
[ad_1]

I have been so enamored by tin embossing since I saw @theprintedpeanut create incredible pieces with the inside of her tomato paste! Then when I saw @katiethejane do some darling versions around Valentine’s Day. I knew I needed to try it for myself! This is the perfect craft to do with your girl friends on a cozy night in — shop the supplies here!

Tin embossing

Difficulty:

Easy

Time:

30 minutes

Instructions

Tin embossing

  1. Set a scrap piece of wood down and then fold a piece of fabric over a few times and place it on top of the wood.
  2. Cut some pieces of metal from the aluminum foil roll.
  3. Use a dotting tool or ballpoint pen to create the outline of an object and then fill it in. Get creative with filling it in with dots, half circles, lines, etc! It’s all about the texture.
  4. Use the hole punch to create a hole and put it on a keychain, create a garland, or tie it on a string to display!

We did tin embossing at our Lars Craft Camp and the girls loved it! Here are some of their creations:
